Assagao has seen a boom of high-end cafes & restaurants in the past few years. So, when I was looking for a new breakfast place & came across Bloom & Brew, I decided to give it a try.
It ticked all the right boxes for me, open air, chilled vibe & a good looking menu. I decided to take my little dude on a breakfast date, so being just two of us we didn’t order much.
Decided to go with the Bloom’s Avocado toast which is a visually stunning plate, with edible flowers & The Very Berry Pancake with sour cream & a berry compote & a smoothie each.
The avo toast was nice, its on sourdough bread but for me, personally, not something really mind-blowing, as I make avocado toast at home all the time & it was pretty similar in flavour to what I make myself. I wouldn’t really order it on my next visit. Though visit again I will, coz I wish I went with what first caught my eye, the breakfast lasagne. So definitely going back to try that out.
Being a sucker for sour cream though I did tuck in once my avo toast was over, just couldn’t resist, though Azariah did the plate justice.
I would also recommend their smoothies, I chose Tropical Dreams, which is mango, pineapple, orange juice, coconut water & turmeric & I loved it & Azariah went with the Strawberry Fields, which is banana, strawberries & Almond milk.
Overall, I’ve found myself a new breakfast place other than my regular spots Kefi, Artjuna, Baba Au Rhum & Mojigao.
Pay them a visit they just might pleasantly surprise you.
